The eForce Prague Formula team has wrapped up this year’s racing season in style. In August, with their CTU.25 formula car, the team achieved third place in the autonomous category at Formula Student Germany (FSG), the most prestigious student competition in Europe. The eForce Prague Formula team is made up primarily of students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at CTU and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at CTU.

“The race at Hockenheimring, which brought together 84 teams from 23 countries, was the highlight of the season. In such huge competition, we managed to stand out not only in the overall ranking, where we placed tenth, but also in the DV category (Driverless Vehicles), where we fought our way to an overall third place. We were also delighted by our partial successes: third place in DV Autocross, fifth in DV Acceleration, sixth in Trackdrive, and eighth in Endurance,” said team captain Jan Cába.

“Our performance was further underlined by a third place in the MathWorks Modeling & Simulation Award, which recognizes the quality of calculations and simulation models,” added captain Jan Cába. In the autonomous category, eForce Prague Formula built on last year’s success, when they won bronze at FSG in the driver-controlled category. Cába emphasized that the placement at FSG demonstrates not only the reliability of the new car, which the team will continue to develop, but also the strength of its autonomous system, as well as the high level of teamwork. “This success is a huge motivation for us to keep moving forward and a confirmation that the path we’re on is the right one,” the captain concluded.

In August, the eForce Prague Formula team also took part in Formula Student Czech Republic 2025 (FSCZ) in Most. Competing against about forty European teams, they placed fifth overall. This year’s CTU.25 car made its debut in Assen, the Netherlands, where despite technical difficulties in the most demanding discipline, Endurance, the team still achieved third place in the prestigious Engineering Design discipline and in the dynamic Autocross category. Overall, they finished eleventh out of more than 40 teams.

The team continues its streak of success

The eForce Prague Formula team has built on an exceptionally successful 2024 season, which they concluded with a victory in the driverless category at Formula SAE Italy. At this event, the team dominated all dynamic disciplines in the driverless category and also earned a silver medal in the static Engineering Design Event. In the electric vehicle category, they placed fifth overall, securing third place in Engineering Design and second in Efficiency. Their earlier achievements also included the aforementioned third place in the driver-controlled category at Formula Student Germany and victory in the autonomous category at the home competition FS Czech in Most.
