The 71st running race and the 61st Academic Cross Country Championships were held at the Hvězda Enclosure on Saturday, 16 November, 2024. The organizer of the run was traditionally the Institute of Physical Education and Sport of CTU (IPES), the race was held under the auspices of doc. Vojtěch Petráček, Rector of CTU in Prague.
The races were favoured by pleasant weather, which attracted around 500 athletes from the ranks of academics and the public in fourteen categories to the enclosure. In the academic championship race, Jan Škarban (UWB) and Filip Stránský (CU FPES) reigned among the men, while Anita Žáková (LSU) became the academic winner of the women's race.
The awards ceremony was attended by the Director of the CTU IPES Doc. PaedDr. Jiří Drnek CSc and the Vice-Rector of CTU Ing. Radek Holý Ph.D.
