The gifts purchased by the funds from the collection were handed over yesterday at the Christmas tree in the Strahov canteen by Rector Vojtěch Petráček, who also visited the festive evening with his wife, Vice-Rector Zbyněk Škvor, Chancellor Lucie Orgoníková and Director of the SÚZ Michal Vodička. CTU representatives brought golden mistletoe for the mothers and grandmothers of the children.
In return, the Ukrainian refugees presented everyone who participated in the collection with a small gift, and Rector Petráček received a typical Ukrainian doll and prints on canvas with a Ukrainian-war motif by a well-known Ukrainian artist.
Finally, two Ukrainian girls performed, one played the guitar and the other danced.
The evening was a success, the children and parents, as well as the representatives of the CTU were touched. Nevertheless, let us all wish that such an evening will not have to be held next year...
